Jesus’s finished work over us brought us atonement with God, propitiation away from our earned punishment, expiation payment of our guilt, and caused us to be sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Looking back at Genesis 6-9, I see God’s command to seal the ark with pitch, both inside and outside, as a type, shadow, and picture of preservation and security.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God, which brought us death and the curse.
Satan’s temptations that we face appeal to our pride, disobedience, and self love. Those failings in our life are continually influenced as a philosophical offshoot to Lucifer’s 5 I wills of Isaiah 14.
The choice to rebel in the Garden of Eden for the sake of being a master of one’s own life set the Noahic flood tragedy in motion. This Genesis 3:15 war was decisively won at the cross, and this tragedy concerning world judgement concludes with the return of Christ.
2 Peter states that the “Noahic Flood” and “Return of Christ Judgement finalized in the Great White Throne Judgement” are connected here:
2 Peter 3:6-7
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”
Genesis 6’s tragedy started 1,200 years before the flood with the creation of the Nephilim giants and transgressing the first estate of angels decreed by God (Jude testifies to this reality), as in cohabiting with the daughters of men.
Genesis 6’s tragedy concluded in Genesis 8 by the year long ride on the floating menagerie we call Noah’s Ark.
Still, redemption, justification, and atonement are free to whomever will receive Jesus as their Lord, and Savior.
A small revelation of this shines in the redemptive aftermath of a newly unfurled revelation of God’s covenant.
Yet, Noah is often portrayed in Hollyweird as a maniacal crazy sociopath running all around the ship, plugging holes, plotting murder, and hauling over the edge tons of manure to join the bodies left behind.
It turns our attention to the bodies of people who were not allowed in the boat when the rains came and the fountains of the deep convulsed (By the decree of God) against the continual evil committed, and blood of violence on the earth that it received.
Noah was not a psycho fundamentalist keeping men, women, and children from being saved in the the ark
We often dance over the issue of God judging the world as His prerogative. It is His prerogative to judge the whole world. But, I see in Genesis 6 and Revelations something completely different than ever before.
ALL flesh, save Noah and his family were corrupted.
In Revelations 9: Those not sealed by God wish for death by reason of demonic torture, but death flees from them.
Some kind of abominable and irreversible change to humankind is at work in these two scriptures.
All humanity had corrupted their flesh in such a way that caused God to no longer strive (judge) with mankind before the flood, starting over with Noah, whose family was the only ones pure (Strong’s H8549 – tamiym) in Noah’s generations.
There is some change to humanity, in which God “shall not always strive with man.” There is some change that is put in effect that when accepted as a world provision changes our DNA in such a way that God can no longer strive with us. I give a word study to bare these facts out here: Genesis 6 Corruption
But God Sealed Noah in the Ark
God Sealed Noah in the Ark until the day of his stepping foot back on dry ground. And, I see a connection of that sealing with the sealing of the Holy Spirit in these scriptures:
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,..”
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
An end-times fulfillment of the Guard made in the Book of Numbers?
7 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.“
The fulfillment of Genesis 6, and Isaiah 24-26?
9 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.“
